Job Description

As Riverside Motor Group continues to grow, so do our opportunities. Supporting the Service Department at our Volvo Wakefield dealership in delivering a high standard of administrative and customer service tasks, we are now looking for a Trainee Service Administrator to join us on a full-time basis.

We are open to offering this position as an apprenticeship for the right candidate, combining practical work with formal qualifications.

The Role - What will I be doing?



As a Trainee Service Administrator, you will play a vital support role in the day-to-day operations of the Service Department. You'll assist with customer interactions, appointment scheduling, and general administrative duties while learning the systems, terminology, and procedures used in a professional automotive service environment.

This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the automotive industry, with training and support provided every step of the way.

You'll do this by:



- Building your understanding of automotive terminology, systems and service procedures

- Supporting the service department in booking appointments and monitoring workshop schedules, ensuring efficient vehicle flow

- Greeting customers, handling phone calls and enquiries, and providing clear information on services, MOTs, and repairs

- Processing job cards, invoices, and maintain accurate service records using dealership systems

- Liaising with technicians and other service staff to keep customers updated on their vehicle

You will need:



- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Good organisation and attention to detail

- Ability to handle admin tasks accurately and efficiently

- A proactive attitude

- Genuine interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn
