Trainee Site Supervisor (Civils & Construction)

Magor, Monmouthshire (projects across South Wales & South West England)

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Earn up to 37,000 per year with overtime and a discretionary bonus dependent on experience and performance.

Salary will increase upon progression to a full Site Supervisor role.

Hours:

41.5 hours per week (standard hours)

Holiday:

30 days per year including bank holidays, rising with length of service

South Wales Sports Grounds Ltd is a well-established, family-run sports surface contractor with over 60 years' experience. We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of sports and recreational facilities across Wales and South West England. Due to continued growth, we are looking to develop the next generation of supervisors within our business.

The Role

We are seeking motivated and reliable Trainee Site Supervisors to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside two other trainee supervisors under the guidance of one of our Senior Supervisors and a Production Manager. You will receive hands-on training and support to develop your technical, leadership and organisational skills, preparing you to progress into a full Site Supervisor role.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Senior Supervisor with day-to-day site operations Work as part of a team delivering civils and construction works Assist with planning and coordination of site activities Learn to supervise small site teams safely and effectively Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times Be actively involved in hands-on groundworks and construction activities Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers and site teams

Requirements

Previous experience in civils, construction or groundworks Desire to progress into a Site Supervisor role Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Good communication and teamwork skills Valid CSCS Card Full UK Driving Licence
