to join our expanding Immigration Department. This role is ideal for someone with
at least 1 year of hands-on experience in immigration casework
, looking to progress their legal career with the support of a Training Contract or Qualifying Work Experience (QWE).
You will work closely with experienced solicitors and assist across a wide range of personal and business immigration matters while receiving structured training and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Assist solicitors with a varied caseload of immigration matters including:
Spouse/partner visas
Visit visas
Skilled Worker visas
Sponsor Licence applications
Settlement (ILR)
EUSS applications
Naturalisation
Human rights and private life applications
Draft and prepare applications, legal representations, client statements, and supporting documents.
Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Home Office rules and UKVI guidance.
Liaise with clients, counsel, the Home Office, and other third parties professionally and efficiently.
Prepare appeal bundles and assist with administrative reviews and pre-action protocol matters.
Manage deadlines and ensure files are compliant with SRA and Lexcel requirements.
Attend client meetings, consultations, and where appropriate, tribunal hearings.
Maintain accurate case files and assist with general departmental administration.
Contribute to client care, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all clients.
Undertake any tasks consistent with your training pathway and level of experience.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Minimum
1 year of experience as an Immigration Paralegal
.
Strong understanding of UK immigration law and Home Office application processes.
Excellent drafting and written communication skills.
Strong organisation and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage a busy workload with attention to detail.
Good client-care skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Professional, reliable, and committed to developing your legal career.
Law degree, LPC/SQE (preferred but not essential).
