During this 2-year programme you will learn the industry, and the fundamentals of analyzing data, supporting, leading new work within our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team. Our ESG programme is new and developing at a fast-pace, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to help shape the ESG framework and build a programme that is credible, comprehensive and in line with the market.


Futures will equip participants, with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the world of insurance brokering and risk management. All hours spent in training are hours worked and are paid competitively. This is a full-time role in a global, Fortune 500 company. Responsibilities:
Every day presents new challenges, ensuring your work remains dynamic and engaging. As a Sustainability Analyst Trainee, you will learn to effectively:


Support the development of environmental reporting, including SECR reporting for Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and waste and business travel; Work with the facilities and real estate team to evaluate the performance of our office portfolio to achieve environmental efficiencies


Provide regular reporting and analysis of our performance for our US parent company, and the ESG committee; Develop a regular reporting framework for community initiatives and communicating our progress to the charity champions


Support the delivery of the community programme, Gallagher Gives, including the management of match funding, community grant, and volunteering programmes; Engage the network of charity champions to achieve social impact and coordinate support for good causes


Help create and deliver engaging community and I&D programmes, partner with others to shape and guide clear objectives; Provide administrative support for the Inclusion & Diversity Steering Committee, gathering updates and coordinate data sets for discussion


Project manage key initiatives across the Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility space; Partner with communications, procurement, risk and HR to communicate efforts and results internally and externally (including colleagues, leadership, clients, suppliers, shareholders and candidate Qualifications:

  • University degree in CSR, ESG, Sustainability, or related field preferred but not required
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Technical Knowledge
  • Understanding of ESG and sustainability concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel (reporting and data analysis), PowerPoint (create polished presentations and proposals) and Word (report writing)
  • Understanding of project management concepts

S kills
  • Excellent communication including active listening, verbal and written communication
  • Excellent social and interpersonal skills, able to operate with diplomacy, tact and empathy
  • Abile to manage complex and highly confidential information
  • Comfortable working autonomously and across multiple tasks and reporting into different project working teams and staff members
  • Numerate with the ability to present and analyse data
  • Creatively and effectively solve problems
