West Coast Tree Surgeons are looking for a Trainee Tree Surgeon / Groundsman to join our team in Prestwick. This is a solid opportunity for someone looking to get into the tree work industry, with proper on-the-job training and clear progression.
We take on all types of work across Ayrshire and beyond - from domestic tree care to commercial site clearances. You'll be outdoors in all weathers, supporting experienced climbers and learning the ropes from the ground up. The role includes a wide range of tasks such as dragging branches, feeding the chipper, tool maintenance, hedge trimming, cleaning up sites, stump grinding, and learning how to safely fell and climb trees as you progress.

What We're Looking For:
Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
Reliable, keen to learn, and able to follow instructions.
A practical mindset with good awareness of health & safety on site and around machinery.
Able to work well in a team and take pride in the job.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
CS30/31 chainsaw tickets are an advantage but not essential.
What You'll Get:
11.50 - 12.21/hour starting wage.
40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with occasional overtime.
