To support and learn the installation of windows, doors, conservatories, bifolds and other glazing products under supervision. This is a hands-on role with training provided, ideal for someone looking to begin a career in the fenestration industry.
Duties
Assist experienced installers with the removal and fitting of uPVC, aluminium and composite windows and doors
Help prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily work
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe working environment on site
Support in measuring and marking out for installations
Carry out basic sealant, insulation, and finishing tasks under guidance
Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Attend training sessions as required to build skills and knowledge in fenestration systems
Provide general labouring support where needed
Report any site issues or customer feedback to the supervisor promptly
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Adhere to health and safety regulations throughout all tasks.
Essential:
Willingness to learn and develop practical skills
Good attitude and reliability
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
Basic understanding of hand tools and safe working practices
Good timekeeping and personal presentation
Desirable:
Full UK driving licence with a clean record (preferred)
CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in construction or manual labour
Interest in gaining NVQ qualifications in Fenestration Installation
