Trainee Woodworking Machinist

to join our production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain comprehensive, on-the-job training and develop a highly valuable trade skill. You will be instrumental in the precise preparation and processing of timber for our high-quality products.

What You Will Learn & Do

Under the guidance of our experienced Senior Machinists, your responsibilities and training will include:

Machine Operation:

Learning to safely and accurately operate various

woodworking machinery

(e.g., planers, moulders, cross-cut saws, spindle moulders).

Timber Preparation:

Assisting with the selection, preparation, and feeding of

raw timber

into machinery.

Quality Control:

Checking the processed timber for accuracy, dimensions, and defects to ensure the highest quality output.

Safety & Maintenance:

Strict adherence to all

Health & Safety procedures

and assisting with routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance checks.

Stock Management:

Supporting the team with stacking, organising, and managing timber stock in the workshop.

Who We Are Looking For (Requirements)

Enthusiasm & Attitude:

Must possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine eagerness to learn a trade.

Practical Aptitude:

Comfortable working in a workshop environment and competent with basic measurements and physical tasks.

Education:

A good standard of basic education is required.

Safety Focus:

A commitment to safety procedures and following instructions precisely.

Experience (Desirable):

Any prior experience in a manufacturing, construction, or workshop environment is a bonus, but

full training will be provided
