The Company

Inside Group is an established market leading business, that operates across multiple sectors, including new build housing, care, education, hospitality, residential and construction. We work with many Northeast clients and National clients to deliver tailored bespoke solutions for flooring, interior design, exterior design, window dressings, 3D plans, bespoke furniture, lighting and soft furnishings. Our services also include cleaning, specialist cleaning such as brick, drive, and patio cleaning, as well as carpet and upholstery cleaning.

As a group we employ 80 people and additionally have over 40 sub-contractors that work across the businesses.

We are an established business and have a very loyal client base that have worked with us for many years.

Inside Contracts Group are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team to contribute to the ongoing process of delivering timely financial and management information.

Working closely and under supervision with our Financial Controller you will take financial responsibility for our smaller businesses.

Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis against set budgets

Prepare quarterly vat returns

Prepare annual financial statements with assistance from external professional advisors

Collaborate with operational colleagues to develop a suite of Management Information to drive both operational and financial performance

Develop, agree and implement effective financial policies and procedures

Monitor cashflow and manage financial risks effectively

Actively participate and input to business improvement projects across finance and the wider business

Review supplier invoices for costs and accuracy

Performing daily bank reconciliations, payments and deposits

The Successful Applicant

A knowledge and interest in finance with some experience in financial reporting and compliance

A strong knowledge and proficiency in Excel skills

An empathetic team player with the ability to develop and learn with colleagues

A great communicator, able to decipher technical information and translate in a way that a wider multi disciplined management team will understand

Attention to detail, accuracy and numeric precision

Pay: 28,000.00-31,000.00 per year
