Company Shop Group (CSG), part of the Biffa Group, is the UK\'s leading redistributor of surplus food and household products. We are looking for an experienced Trainer to support with the development of our retail, operations and head office teams. You will provide innovative learning interventions, including technical, behavioural and leadership programmes, that enhance capabilities across the organisation. Whilst supporting CSG, the role is part of our UK wide Biffa HR team being able to pull on expertise in the Biffa\'s centres of excellence.

Your core responsibilities

• Develop and implement learning strategies that support and deliver the Balanced Business Plan (business strategy)
• Work with relevant stakeholders, evaluate individual, departmental, and organisational development needs and develop effective strategies to deliver business requirements
• Create, develop, and deliver learning programmes across the group that deliver enhanced organisational capabilities, support colleague development
• Promote a culture of high performance and engagement
• Oversee and manage all mandatory and compliance training and ensure these are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Accountability for the learning management system (LMS), ensuring it is utilised effectively across all areas of the business whilst identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Work with our internal systems to design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, PDPs, career paths and other training as required
• Implement various learning methods and strategies business-wide (e.g., coaching, job-shadowing, online training, management/leadership programmes etc.)
• Manage the provision of day-to-day service delivery and performance of the learning and development team
• Ensure that all learning and development activities fall within scope of the financial budget

Our essential requirements

• Level 5 CIPD qualified in Organisational Learning and Development
• Over 3 years experience designing and delivering training
• Confident with all Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Powerpoint
