We are recruiting for a Training Centre Manager to manage the day-to-day and strategic operations of our specialised training centre, dedicated to Engineer Surveyor technical training. This includes overseeing training delivery, managing resources and personnel, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the development and delivery of both internal and commercial training programmes.
What will you be doing?
The Training Centre Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring an outstanding learning experience, while maintaining operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
You will:
Oversee the delivery of our internal engineer surveyor training programmes by liaising with planning, technical specialists and trainers
Manage the availability and upkeep of all training equipment, materials, and physical facilities and ensure a safe training environment
Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for maintenance, upgrades, or new equipment acquisition as needed
Lead, support, and develop a team of trainers, administrative and support staff
Manage the day-to-day operations of the training centre, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all learners and visitors
Handle scheduling, bookings, health and safety compliance, and general logistics related to training delivery
Oversee risk assessments and HSE compliance, maintaining a safe training environment for staff and delegates
Establish robust workflows for training delivery, resource usage, incident reporting, and learner feedback
Manage bookings, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and ensure the commercial viability of externally delivered training
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote the centre's capabilities and offerings
Represent the centre at internal and external meetings, audits, and reviews
Provide regular performance and activity reports to senior leadership

To join our team, you will have:
Experience in managing a technical training facility or similar operational environment
Strong knowledge of training operations, compliance standards and HSE requirements
Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams
Experience with resource and facilities management in a technical context
Ability to develop and implement effective procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
Exposure to commercial training delivery and client relationship management
A background in engineering or technical education is desirable
Familiarity with accreditation or awarding body standards for technical training desirable
Experience working within regulated or safety-critical industries desirable
