We\'re delighted to be supporting a local charity with their search for a Programmes Development Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract. You\'ll be working closely with the CEO and will have a varied role, managing a small team and driving forward various programmes.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 -17.00 (35-hour week.)

Salary: \xc2\xa325 000 to \xc2\xa328 000

Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays.

Location: Wirral - Some flexible working and home working by arrangement

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus BH

Key responsibilities:

Personal Development and Social Programmes

  • Line management of the team
  • Oversee the general running and development of all existing programmes
  • Support the team to identify learning and development needs to inform programme delivery.
  • Work with the team to identify opportunities for improvement and development of the
programmes
  • Work with the team to measure and evaluate impact; improving and developing processes
when necessary
  • Co-ordination of training delivery by trainers
  • Develop and deliver some programme elements when required; i.e. training, courses, events
Strategic development
  • Provide support for consultation and research to establish local needs to inform and influence strategy and service development
  • Carry out ongoing consultation with all stakeholders to develop and deliver strategic aim and objectives effectively
  • Plan, implement and deliver new and priority strategic aims
  • Build relationships with relevant stakeholders and networks to identify and create effective partnership opportunities
General
  • Support the Chief Executive with managing the overall reputation of the charity, supporting with community and stakeholder engagement
  • Contribute to funding applications and reports, including project development, producing data, content and analysis
  • Join appropriate committees and groups, and attend relevant meetings
  • Participate in regular team and management meetings
  • Support with recruitment of new staff where necessary
  • Undertake training as identified through the quarterly review process

  • Strong communication skills. Written and verbal skills.
  • Presentation skills

  • Excellent IT skills. Competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications; email; video events (i.e. Zoom, Teams); social media, websites and other relevant applications. Competent with desk top publishing applications

  • Promotion and marketing of services and targeting potential beneficiaries
