What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Head of HR, the
Training Manager
will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training and development programmes across Sales, Service, Management, and Support functions. This role is critical in driving consistent standards, enhancing capability, and supporting our strategic goals around customer experience, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a comprehensive annual training plan aligned to business priorities.
Design and deliver inhouse training across sales processes, service excellence, onboarding, management development, and compliance.
Evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs, feedback, and performance metrics; provide insight reports to senior leadership.
Work closely with department heads to identify skills gaps and create tailored development solutions.
Oversee induction and onboarding processes to ensure a consistent and engaging new starter experience.
Manage external training providers and ensure value for money.
Support the rollout of new systems, products, and operational initiatives through structured training programmes.
Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and colleague development.
Were looking for someone who:
Has proven experience in a Training Manager, L&D Specialist, or Training Delivery role (automotive experience highly desirable).
Is confident delivering training in classroom, virtual, and on-the-job environments.
Understands automotive retail operations (sales, service, technical or customer experience).
Has strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Is analytical and data-driven, able to measure training ROI and impact.
Is creative, proactive, and passionate about developing people and driving performance.
Can develop engaging training materials, e-learning modules, and structured programmes.
Is organised, selfmotivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
