Working as part of a team to provide palletised order picking and the loading/unloading of palletised freight onto a variety of vehicles using Counterbalance forklifts and PPTs/LLOP's within a fast-paced distribution environment. You will be working Monday to Friday 5pm to 2am.
Main responsibilities:
Ensuring the loading/unloading of palletised freight is done in a safe and timely manner
Correct scanning of all barcoded freight using a variety of systems to ensure full traceability of goods and stock integrity
Ensure all freight is picked according to load sheets, operational requirements and customer standards
Ensure accuracy of work including checking to prevent errors. Report and resolve issues with support from the Shift Supervisor
Operate a variety of MHE to carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner in line with company policies and procedures
Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and resolve operational issues
Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisors, Warehouse Manager and other departments as necessary
Inspect goods for any damages and report any discrepancies or issues
Ensure the warehouse complies with all Health and Safety policies in the workplace and report and incidents, hazards or near misses
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised and safe and follows all health and safety guidelines
What we are looking for...
Profile:
Experience of working within a distribution environment is desirable
Previous experience of order picking and loading/unloading is essential
Previous use of a forklift on a regular basis is essential
Technical competencies:
Counterbalance forklift license taken within the past 3 years is essential
ADR awareness is desired (training provided if needed)
LLOP/PPT license is desirable (training provided if needed)
Behavioural competencies:
