Key Responsibilities :



Liaising with the production team and transport contractors/suppliers to coordinate and schedule the delivery of completed machinery and parts to customers in the UK and worldwide, to ensure that deliveries reach customers on time. Communicating with customers to provide updates on the progress of deliveries. Handling all documentation relating to the despatch of equipment to customers, ensuring adherence to all relevant transport regulations, laws, and safety standards, and HMRC regulations. Liaising with the expediting and production teams to plan collections and deliveries to/from suppliers. Managing the fleet of commercial vehicles and Company cars to ensure that vehicle maintenance and repairs, MOTs, and licencing is attended to when required, and that all documentation is in order, to avoid unnecessary downtime. Liaising with suppliers to ensure forklift trucks are serviced and maintained; ensuring all documentation is up to date; and obtaining quotes for repairs and forklift truck rentals/purchases. General administration and support - including managing fuel cards; maintaining accurate records of transport activities, transactions and fuel consumption; arranging operational planning meetings, and taking and distributing minutes; liaising with the finance team to ensure all freight charges are processed; and providing any other administrative support that may be required.

Candidate Requirements :



Self-starter with good organisational skills. Attention to detail. The ability to identify and resolve issues relating to transport and fleet operations. The ability to work well with others as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in a similar role. Knowledge of import/export regulations, relevant transport laws, and fleet regulations. UK Driving Licence. Must be resident in the UK, and have the right to live and work in the UK, without the need for VISA sponsorship.

Normal Work Hours :

Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
