A vacancy has arisen for a full time Transport Compliance Manager within the Transport department reporting directly to the General Manager.

Location:

Transport Office, Teesport

Working Arrangements:

Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing compliance KPI's for PD Ports Transport Operations (located in Teesport, Groveport & Felixstowe) by developing improvement plans for compliance, Health & Safety and training by implementing the SSOW (Safe Systems of Work) with operational teams, customers and drivers to suit business needs. The successful candidate will also review new and existing processes to ensure continuous improvements are achieved as well as implementing new processes to meet organisational demands. The individual would identify LGV driver training requirements including, CPC, EU tachograph compliance, safe and fuel-efficient driving, load security and vehicle and trailer familiarisation.

The five main things our Transport Compliance Manager will be working on are:



Assisting the Transport Department in meeting their requirements in Compliance to the standards of the DVSA. Promote and encourage H&S observation/incident reporting and accident investigations. Co-ordinate Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work and review annually with the Transport Department. Ensure driver compliance processes are followed, reviewed whilst coaching drivers to improve performance. Line management responsibility for your team by supervising and monitoring the work of the staff under your remit.
