Join us as a \xe2\x80\xa6 Chill Chain Transport Co-Ordinator
We are looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team in a position offering excellent developmental opportunities in a great working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible to manage the daily operations (Drivers, Cold store & Yard), managing our transportation systems, including scheduling, route planning, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Reporting directly to the Chill Chain Shift Manager they will be responsible for delivering against the daily operational plan and budgets. Optimise daily operational plan whilst ensuring all operations are fully compliant legally and in line with all HSE requirements. The role will be required to meet agreed SLA targets in the supply chain.

Hours: 40 hours a week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, Week 1 - 6:00am to 14:00pm / Week 2 - 14:00pm -22:00pm (Weekly alternating shifts)
Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinate transport ensuring that delivery times and schedules are met.
Co-ordinate all non-conformance issues with transport suppliers ensuring actions are taken and problems resolved.
Work with Supply Chain to ensure inbound / outbound deliveries are co-ordinated to meet ours and customers needs.
Targets to align with OTIF, Delivery on time and asset turns.
Despatch and debrief Drivers
Quality control of documentation within the Chill Chain Logistical operation.
Accurate completion of daily Transport paperwork in-line with company policy and procedures
Assist with the management of vehicle defects through the VOR process
Supporting the Chill Chain Manager in the delivery of Financial & Strategic targets in line with their PDP targets.

Skills and Requirements:
Previous transport experience required - 2 years minimum experience working in a transport related industry
Good knowledge of geography
An effective proactive communicator, able to develop good working relationships with both colleagues and customers
Preferred knowledge of relevant driver legislation
Excellent forward planning skills with the ability to problem solve in pressured situations
Exceptional planning and organisational skills and experience of data entry
Highly organised with attention to detail and experience working to tight deadlines
Ability to report and summarise
Computer Literate and familiar with spreadsheets, Databases and presentations
Driver CPC -Desired
Versatile and flexible on hours to suit business needs and efficiencies.
Willingness to participate in discussions and projects relating to operational policy.
Able to embrace change, and pro-actively seek methods to improve the business and / or reduce costs
