We're looking to offer a salary of up to 47,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day / key responsibilities:
Lead site-level transport operations, ensuring full compliance with transport legislation (Driver Hours, WTD, DVSA).
Take ownership of service delivery across all channels, ensuring KPI and SLA targets are met.
Manage daily and weekly budget performance, driving cost control and efficiency.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational value.
Serve as the primary escalation point for transport-related queries from both customers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate across functions to deliver business and customer strategic goals.
Build strong relationships with customers to understand needs and identify growth opportunities.
Challenge the status quo to drive performance and innovation.
Lead recruitment, succession planning, and team development to build a high-performing workforce.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Proven track record in transport operations and leadership.
CPC National & International (essential); IOSH or equivalent (desirable).
Strong working knowledge of Transport Management Systems and supporting route planning software.
Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets.
A proactive, pragmatic, and inspirational leadership style.
Experience in construction or similar sectors is advantageous.
