Job Summary

We are seeking a new Transport Manager to work along side our operations team and over see our planning team. Ideally you will have experience in a variety of transport settings from pallet networks to tramping using both rigid and articulated vehicles.

Responsibilities

Manage daily transport operations, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to schedules. Supervise and lead a team of drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Develop and implement efficient transport strategies to optimise routes and reduce costs including seeking backloads where required. Work alongside operations to maintain accurate records of transport activities, including vehicle maintenance and driver performance. Liaise with other depots and customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and enhance service delivery. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics activities effectively.

Skills

Microsoft Office would be beneficial. organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Leadership qualities with experience in managing teams. understanding of logistics principles and practices. Customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients. High level of computer literacy to manage transport software and systems efficiently. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency within the transport department.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
