We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate all transportation activities within our organisation. Duties
Plan, organise, and oversee daily transportation operations to ensure efficient delivery schedules
Manage a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing leadership and guidance
Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to streamline supply chain activities
Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations
optimise routes using IT systems to reduce costs and improve delivery times
Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and vehicle logs using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Analyse logistics data to identify areas for process improvement
Ensure adherence to legal requirements related to driving hours, vehicle safety, and cargo handling
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client queries promptly and professionally
Qualifications
Proven management experience within logistics or supply chain environments
Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for organisational vehicles or lorries
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems relevant to logistics management
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
Knowledge of logistics principles, supply chain management, and transportation regulations
Customer service orientation with the ability to handle enquiries professionally
