Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to join our team and ensure smooth, legal, and efficient operation of our transport activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in driver management, compliance, and policy development.

Responsibilities

? Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence and Transport Regulations

? Download and manage tachograph data (driver cards and vehicle units) every month

? Monitor driver hours and working time regulations

? Develop and enforce driver policies and procedures

? Handle driver inductions, ongoing training, and performance

? Ensure daily vehicle defect checks and maintenance are up to standard

? Maintain up-to-date records (PMIs, MOTs, driver files, tacho data)

? Act as the link between the business, DVSA, and Traffic Commissioner

? Keep robust systems in place to meet all legal and compulsory requirements

Qualifications

Valid CPC for Transport Managers (Road Haulage)

Strong knowledge of UK transport law and operator compliance

Experience managing HGV/PSV drivers

Familiarity with tachograph software

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Attention to detail and proactive mindset
