Salary:

36,990

Hours of work:

Average 42 hours per week, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Required to work day shift only.

2Agriculture are offering an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our Planning Team. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the Planning Team Leader to ensure the efficient and cost-effective scheduling of deliveries and collections of raw materials and finished products. Role Overview

: As Transport Planner, you'll help manage transport schedules and assist with administrative duties vital to the smooth operation of our Mill. Working closely with production, customer service, and transport teams, to ensure that delivery plans meet both customer expectations and our efficient and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities

:

Support the planning team leader with administration duties and the transport scheduling for the Mill, support with planning delivery schedules in accordance with driver's hours to maximise utilisation of company resources.

Promote an inclusive culture, focussing on employee engagement in order to deliver business objectives.

Liaise with the Mill production team to ensure amendments or cancellations of orders are carried out accurately and efficiently, enabling full customer satisfaction.

Responsibility to ensure that feed is made and handled in a way that all Food safety standards and requirements are adhered to, maintaining standards of good practice to minimise any food safety risk to both the birds consuming the feed and the end consumer.

Liaise with customer service to ensure the efficient flow of information so all internal and external requirements are met.

Assess requirements and co-ordinate with other operational areas to allocate resources to meet changing business and customer needs.

Ensure the Weighing in process for all raw materials is followed, liaising with the mill production team to ensure raw materials are routed to the correct storage bin.

Ensure the Weighing out process for all finished feed deliveries is followed, ensuring all details are accurately recorded on the m-tech computer system.

Drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve the sites efficiency, safety, quality and performance.

Implement Health and Safety policies and procedures ensuring compliance with legislation and aligned to best practice.

Qualifications

:

Minimum Standard Grade level 3 or equivalent National Grade level in Maths and English.

A working knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Legislation.

CPC qualification beneficial.

TASCC and UFAS knowledge would be beneficial.
