We are currently looking for a talented and motivated

Transport Planner

to join our team in

London

.


Working as part of the London Transport Planning team, you will help to deliver exciting new developments, regeneration and masterplanning schemes across the UK, including many prestigious and high-profile projects.

What does the role involve?



Providing day to day technical input as part of the Project team. Undertaking tasks assigned by the team leader/project managers to support design delivery and other project deliverables. Liaising with our private sector clients and their design teams. Ensuring that project delivery meets the client's objectives and requirements. Ensuring tasks are carried out and completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales and budgets. Working in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required to deliver project requirements.

To be successful in this role you'll possess:



A relevant degree, ideally from an engineering background. Relevant experience working in Transport Planning and a good knowledge of the UK planning system. A proactive nature, with a track record of working with private sector clients, delivering a range of projects. An understanding of national planning policy, as well as London specific policy and guidance which governs development. Excellent problem solving/contingency planning skills with the ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit different audiences. Experience of AutoCAD and Vehicle Tracking software. A good understanding of relevant design standards and guidelines. Experience of using industry standard software, such as TRICS. Experience of using junction capacity modelling software e.g. Junctions 10, would also be advantageous. Good Microsoft Office skills including the ability to process and analyse data using Excel. GIS software experience would be advantageous.
