Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Transport Planner
to join our cable distribution team. This full-time role is based in a busy, fast-paced environment and is key to ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of cable and related products across the UK.Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate daily vehicle schedules for cable distribution Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to maintain delivery performance Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely deliveries Maintain compliance with transport regulations and company standards Accurately record and report all transport activities and performance data
Requirements:
Proven experience in transport planning (experience in cable or construction materials distribution is an advantage) Good geographical knowledge and a strong understanding of logistics processes Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Comfortable using transport planning software and Microsoft Office Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
