Summary

As a Transportation Supervisor at Oakland International, you will play a vital role in overseeing our transportation operations. Located in Great Britain, this position is essential for ensuring efficient logistics and exceptional customer service, contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding supply chain solutions.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily transportation operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies. Manage and coordinate the logistics team, providing guidance and support as needed. Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance schedules to ensure safety standards are met. Utilize computer systems to track shipments, manage schedules, and report on operational metrics. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation department. Live debrief of all drivers returning off route including checking all paperwork prior to drivers leaving the depot to capture all known issues. Assist the transport team in the despatch of drivers. Data entry debrief of all relevant information from the delivery notes into Mandata. Live POD amendment at the point of debrief where dirty PODs are found. Daily scanning of all PODs into Mandata and necessary checks to ensure that all entries have been recorded correctly. Rescan and separate PODs if needed Respond to all claim's enquiries sent through regarding PODs Where scanned copies are unavailable PODs need to be obtained as hardcopies from the archive Assist in identifying drivers with sign offs, compliance requirements ie license checks or referral to members of the team. To support the company in helping to maintain the product, safety, quality, legality and integrity of our food safety culture.

Requirements

Proven experience in transportation or logistics management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive operational success. Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook). Knowledge of supply chain processes is highly desirable.

Working Time: 18:00 to 06:00

Contractual Hours: 44 Per Week (Averaged over rotation)
