Newstaff Recruitment Agency in Bedford is currently looking for a Transport Team Leader on behalf of our client based in Bedford. Transport Team Leader in Bedford We are currently recruiting for a Transport Team Leader to oversee our Large Item Home Delivery and Trunking operation. This role will involve working on a rotational shift pattern, covering any 5 days out of 7. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management team in achieving work schedules, meeting KPIs, and maintaining a safe work environment within the transport department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage and enforce compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
• Display flexibility in adapting to changes within the operation.
• Manage and direct the workload and performance of team members.
• Conduct team communication sessions and Performance Dialog boards.
• Cover various shifts, including 06:00 \xe2\x80\x93 14:00, 14:00 \xe2\x80\x93 22:00, weekend shifts, and occasional overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• Actively promote and ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to changes within the operation.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of supervising and directing team members.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in warehousing or transport.
• Possess job-related skills.
