Salary: From 35,400 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Team Leader to join our team based at our Head Office. This role will be responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day logistics of the NWH fleet across several different vehicle sectors including Tipper vehicles.
The ideal candidate would have experience within a similar role, knowledge of Transport Legislation, have the ability to manage a demanding situation, and be a positive team player.
It is essential to be competent in using the Microsoft Office packages and to be confident navigating online platforms e.g. tracker and work allocation systems.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and will offer a competitive salary
starting from 35,400
dependant on experience
plus you will be part of a bonus scheme.
Job Activities:
Communicate and allocate work with drivers as cost effectively and efficiently as possible
Oversee the day-to-day coordination of tipper operations to ensure service delivery and customer commitments are met
Leading a team of drivers in a positive proactive manner
Assist other transport team leaders in the logistics of their vehicles and drivers as required
Enforcing Health, Safety and Compliance requirements with drivers
Management of driving staff including recording of sickness, holidays, payroll, and continuously reviewing driver performance.
Transport Coordinator Knowledge and Skills Required:
Logistics industry experience
Tachograph and drivers' hours regulations
Good geographical knowledge
