Job Summary

We are a family owned waste management and recycling company with two recycling centres from which our fleet of modern vehicles service all of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Due to expansion of our services the following post has become available at our Portlethen Recycling Centre for a full time Transport / Weighbridge Controller based at this modern Recycling Centre.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be required to plan and organise workloads and maintenance schedules for the drivers and fleet of vehicles working out of the Centre to ensure maximum utilisation and productivity.

Ensuring adequate staffing levels and compliance with Waste Management Licensing requirements and Company Standard Operating Procedures at the Centre

Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and complied with by all site users and visitors to the facility.

Taking service requests by email and telephone as well as other phone calls from existing and potential customers.

Inputting completed ticket information and manning the weighbridge operation.

Qualifications and Skills

Geographical knowledge of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire would be advantageous.

Possession of or a resolution to achieve in reasonable time a valid CPC for Transport Management

UK driver's license

Waste management and / or logistics experience

Excellent man management abilities, computer, numeracy and literary skills.

Working hours 07:00 to 17:00 hrs Mon to Fri and half shift one Saturday in every three.

Benefits

Salary is negotiable dependent on experience. Training and support for procurement of CPC, relevant C.o.T.C. and IOSH certificates will be provided where required.
