Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber/Ground worker to join our small but growing family team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care, felling and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in using appropriate tools (chippers, chainsaws). This role involves climbing trees to perform various maintenance tasks, ensuring the health and safety of the trees while contributing to the overall aesthetics of the landscape. Also tree felling and clearing and hedge reductions.

Duties

Climb trees using appropriate safety equipment to perform pruning, trimming, and removal of branches. Utilise appropriate tools effectively for tree maintenance tasks and tree felling. Some landscape maintenance activities such as fencing and garden clearances. Monitor the health of trees and report any signs of disease or damage to management. Felling of designated trees Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals efficiently. Ability to team lead a small team independently with management support.

Experience

Previous experience in tree climbing/felling or arboriculture is essential. Familiarity with tools such as chainsaws, pruners, and wood chippers is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to maintaining equipment used in tree care is an advantage. Demonstrated ability to work safely at heights while adhering to all safety protocols. A strong work ethic with a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is required. Driver essential and ability to drive with trailers.
