Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tree Surgeon/Arborist foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planting, care, maintenance, and removal of trees in both urban and rural settings. This role involves climbing trees, using specialized equipment, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect trees to assess health, structure, and safety risks Perform pruning, thinning, and crown reduction to maintain tree health and appearance Remove dead, damaged, or hazardous trees using safe felling techniques Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, climbing gear, and other arboriculture equipment Use rigging techniques to safely lower large limbs and trunks Grind stumps and clear debris from work sites Treat diseased trees and apply pesticides or fertilizers as needed Maintain records of work completed and report findings to supervisors or clients Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations Provide advice to clients on tree care, maintenance, and planting
Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Tree Surgeon or Arborist Relevant qualifications (e.g., NPTC/LANTRA certification, Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Arboriculture) Strong knowledge of tree biology, diseases, and pruning techniques Understanding of health and safety regulations and risk assessment Valid driver's license First aid training (preferred) Up to CS32 or equivalent. Up to CS39 or equivalent. Perform pruning, thinning, and crown reduction to maintain tree health and appearance Remove dead, damaged, or hazardous trees using safe felling techniques Grind stumps and clear debris from work sites Maintain records of work completed and report findings to managers or clients
