Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a good background in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with a passion for tree care and a commitment to safety. This role mainly involves hedge trimming, occasional pruning, and removal of trees. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assess the health and condition of trees to determine necessary care or removal Operating a hedge cutter to a high standard. Perform tree pruning, shaping, and felling using appropriate techniques Operate machinery, such as wood chippers, safely and efficiently Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order Carry out landscape maintenance tasks including raking and leaf blowing Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all tasks Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients

Experience

Proven experience in tree surgery or a related field is essential Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and practices Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is desirable Qualification in Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting, small tree felling and chippers are desirable. A valid/clean driving licence is mandatory

Pay: 110.00-150.00 per day
