Business Description: Phoenox Textiles Ltd are a family-owned textile manufacturer based in Clayton West, Huddersfield and we have been operating in this location since 1954. We have a wide range of award-winning brands and distribute worldwide. Having started with just 10 members of staff we now employ over 170 people and continue to innovate and expand in our sector.

We are looking for a Tufting machine operative to join the team working days, a proactive & practical person who can work well under their own steam, a good all-rounder who can take their hand to anything, prioritising tasks in line with the needs of the business.

please apply if you have this. Limited tufting / textiles manufacturing experience will also be acceptable. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept applicants who do not have this.

The main objective will be to contribute towards the smooth running of the Tufting department, safe use of machinery and working to deadlines.

Job role & Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup of machines for various production runs. Safe operation of machinery. Safe operation of pallet trucks Completing quality checks. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous proven experience in a similar role preferable.

An ability to learn quickly and drive to improve continuously

Excellent communication skills.

Basic computer knowledge and good numeracy skills.

A keen eye for detail.

The ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure

To work well as a part of a team and communicate with other workers

Positive, "can do" attitude is crucial

FLT or BOOM licence beneficial.

Salary: 12.21ph - 14.27ph Depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.45 - 16.30 Friday 7.45 - 15.15
