Your Role in Practice: What a Typical Week Looks Like
Your Schedule:
Your week will be a blend of delivering live sessions via
Zoom
from home and conducting engaging face-to-face training at our
Exeter
workspace, tailored to meet the needs of learners. Your day will start with a simple check-in on our Zoho People platform, a process that ensures the well-being and safety of our team.
Your Responsibilities:
When not delivering, you will mark learner assessments on
Moodle
and provide timely, constructive feedback.
No Curriculum Planning:
All live delivery materials are standardised and ready-made, so you can focus on what you do best: teaching and supporting your learners.
Workload:
You will manage a caseload of
60-80 learners.
What You'll Be Doing: Your Impact as a Tutor
Lead Engaging Training:
Deliver dynamic sessions both online and face-to-face, adapting your approach to bring out the best in every learner.
Guide the Learner Journey:
Manage the entire process for your caseload from welcome session and setting goals to providing constructive feedback that helps them succeed.
Champion a Safe and High-Quality Learning Environment:
Actively uphold our commitment to excellence by prioritising safeguarding, Prevent, and Ofsted best practices in all that you do.
Maintain High Standards:
Keep accurate learner records and actively contribute to our collaborative and professional team environment.
The Practicalities of Our Hybrid Model
We are committed to transparency and ensuring that you have all the information you need about our hybrid working arrangements.
Your Home Workspace:
Your well-being is a priority. You will be required to complete a home workstation (DSE) assessment to ensure your remote setup is safe and comfortable.
Expenses and Travel:
Please note that the company does not cover household expenses, such as heating or broadband. In line with standard practice for hybrid roles, travel from your home to your primary office base in Exeter is not a reimbursable expense.
National Travel:
Occasional regional travel outside of your base location may be required to support learners. Full details of our travel and expenses policy for this will be discussed during the interview process.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Experience)
Essential:
? A Level 3 or above teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, or DTLLS).
? Proven experience in teaching and mentoring aspiring Early Years educators.
? Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths, and ICT.
? Excellent communication skills and commitment to learner success.
? Strong knowledge of safeguarding, equality, and diversity.
Desirable:
Assessor qualification (e.g., A1).
? Familiarity with adult learner funding processes and quality frameworks like Ofsted.
The Hiring Process
Start Date:
As soon as possible.
Probation Period:
3 months.
Interview Stages:
A single-stage process consisting of one competency-based interview and one micro-teach, both conducted on Zoom.
DBS Check:
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, which the company will arrange and cover the cost of.
