We have an incredible new opportunity for a Tutor/Educator join Landau. In this role, you will provide a vibrant and stimulating learning experience to small groups of learners through Landau's Education programmes, delivering creative approaches to Functional Skills English, Maths and an Employability and/or Personal and social development qualification at Entry level to level 2 as well as fostering confidence to develop the skills of the learners under your care.

Contribute to the design, development and delivery of a high quality, responsive programme of study that meets the diverse needs of learners including those with Education, Health and Care Plans

Participate in the promotion and recruitment to the programme, undertaking initial assessments, taster sessions and learner induction

Deliver stimulating and engaging sessions, supporting learners to achieve accredited qualifications including ASDAN Employability and/or Personal and social development and Maths and English Functional Skills from Entry Level to Level 2

Devise or tailor inspiring session plans and resources to meet the differentiated needs of learners and to fulfil the objectives of relevant subject specifications

Assess, plan for and monitor the specific needs of learners with an Education Health and Care Plan, focusing on supporting the achievement of their outcomes and contributing to reviews with learners, parents/carers and multi- agency meetings as required

Undertake robust assessment, diagnostic testing and regular progress reviews to monitor progress toward individual learning plans so that learners are supported to achieve well and thrive on the programme

Direct and manage the deployment of Learning Support Assistants to ensure effective teaching and learning delivery to meet the needs of individual learners and fulfilling legal and contractual requirements for those with EHCPs

Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, reflective practice, working as key part of a committed and motivated delivery team

Encourage the learners personal and social development, building their confidence and self-esteem, encouraging them to take pride in their learning and meet high expectations of behaviour, attendance, engagement and respect for others

Prepare learners well for success in external exams or assessments, including through effective assessment for learning, marking, monitoring and feedback

Contribute to robust internal verification and moderation of learner's work, highlighting areas for development and promoting best practice, providing effective feedback that secures success prior to submission of portfolios for external verification/moderation

Ensure all course administration and paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner as per agreed requirements including registering learners for external moderation

Deliver a tailored programme of enrichment activities and tutorials, including good quality information, advice and guidance (IAG) to enable learners to develop skills and confidence for adult life, as responsible and active citizens

To work with the Project Coordinator to source appropriate work placements for learners, and support learners and employers to make work experience successful

Work as part of the wider Landau delivery team, offering flexible support and adapting to new requirements as appropriate, supporting the business to grow and develop

Commit to professional updating and development, attending relevant events, cascading and sharing professional insight and staying abreast of statutory and non-statutory guidance relevant to the programme's delivery

Keep accurate and timely records, ensuring that the management team are kept fully informed of profiled delivery, recruitment, retention and attendance and the progress or achievement of learners

Liaise with parents/carers and stakeholders, as appropriate, to support and enable learner progress and participation

Offer appropriate pastoral support to learners and champion safeguarding, Equality Duties and British values, contributing to the Prevent programme as appropriate to fulfil our duties

Take part in the Quality monitoring of the programmes, including participating in observations of teaching and learning, peer review, self-evaluation reports and quality improvement plans, inspection and spot-checks linked to our contracting, funding or awarding body requirements

To contribute actively to team and departmental meetings

Organise and prioritise own time and responsibilities effectively and provide regular supervision and support to any staff under your line management

To promote the charity in a positive and professional manner, acting as an ambassador for the charity

To provide management information, professional intelligence and other support to organisational staff and the Charity CEO

Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Salary: 23,073.75 - 28,398.46 per annum (27,300 - 33,600)

This is a permanent Term Time Only position working 39 weeks per year

Location: Telford
