We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK Finance Controller to join our organisation in Slough, United Kingdom. As the UK Finance Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our UK division, ensuring compliance with local regulations and driving financial performance.
Lead and manage the UK finance team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members
Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the UK division
Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards
Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability
Analyse financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision-making
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk for the UK operations
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies
Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistency in financial processes and reporting
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial systems
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management roles, preferably in a multinational corporate environment
Advanced financial management and accounting skills
In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
Strong understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
