The successful candidate will play a vital part in managing core financial services - including statutory reporting, treasury, audit coordination, and systems development. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure financial compliance, support strategic goals, and drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and compliance reporting
Manage VAT, tax and treasury activities
Provide guidance and oversight to finance teams across multiple sites
Collaborate on financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
Support internal and external audit processes
Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting, and internal controls
Present financial reports and insights to senior stakeholders
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Professionally qualified
(e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Experienced in producing statutory accounts and managing audits
Knowledgeable in VAT and corporate tax (experience in education or not-for-profit sectors is a plus)
Skilled in leading finance teams and building collaborative environments
Analytical and detail-focused, with strong project management abilities
Confident in presenting complex financial information to varied audiences
Strategic in mindset, with an ability to influence organisational decision-making
