We are seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead our nursing units at
Coloma Court Care Home
and join our caring and friendly team.
Coloma Court Care Home is a 68-bed care home with specialist care categories which include old age, Dementia and Alzheimer's. We strongly believe in the sanctity of life and the need for dignity till the end.
We are looking for someone to join our current team of Unit Managers, who will work together to lead the unit this includes tasks such as:
The Job Role
Managing and overseeing the nursing unit, whilst positively leading a team to achieve the best possible outcomes
Ensuring excellence in resident care, providing outreach and support to families
Playing an active part in recruiting the most effective staff for these new units, ensuring recruitment needs are monitored on an ongoing basis, and facilitating ongoing training and educational opportunities for staff and families.
Supervising care staff.
Administration of medication using the correct medication procedures Medication Audits in line with company policy and procedure
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and clinical skills
Ability to organise efficiently and prioritise workloads whilst under pressure
Co-ordinating the resident's assessment process ensuring involvement of the resident in identifying needs and preferences, and integration of all information into the Care Plan
The ability to co-ordinate and schedule rotas.
Feel comfortable dealing with difficult conversations with staff on the unit, for example, conduct, or lateness.
The ideal candidate we are looking for will have:
Understanding of Regulatory Framework - NMC & CQC.
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
Experience leading a team.
Preferable have worked in a care home previously
Have a team player & friendly demeanour
Dementia Experience Essential.
Have a natural passion for quality of care.

Pay: 24.66-26.57 per hour
