Pink Tile Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated

Unqualified Science Teacher

to work with a supportive secondary school in Hastings. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in science and education who may not yet hold formal teaching qualifications, but are ready to step into the classroom and inspire students.


The role:



The successful candidate will take on classroom teaching responsibilities within the Science department, with support and guidance from senior teachers and Pink Tile Education. This is a fantastic chance to build practical experience in teaching while making a real difference in the lives of young learners.


Key responsibilities include:



Delivering pre-prepared Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (ages 11-16) Teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (with full departmental support) Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment Supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities Encouraging engagement, participation, and progress in Science Marking and assessing students' work in line with school policies Working closely with the Science department to follow schemes of work Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment in line with safeguarding standards

Requirements:



A genuine passion for Science and education Strong communication and classroom management skills The ability to motivate and inspire secondary-age students A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Up-to-date safeguarding training, or willingness to complete training provided by Pink Tile Education
