Upholsterer - Furniture Factory (PERM)

Location: Coventry, West Midlands

Pay: 15.50 - 16.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday (typically 39-40 hours per week, exact times to be confirmed at interview)

(Occasional overtime/weekend work may be available and paid at enhanced rates)

About the Role:

We are working with an established furniture manufacturing factory in Coventry that supplies upholstery products to the contract, hospitality and retail sectors. Due to continued growth, they now require skilled Upholsterers to join their production team on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on factory role where you will be completing full upholstery cycles on a wide range of seating products in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out full upholstery work from frame preparation through to final finishing Cut and sew covers where required, or work with pre-cut materials Work with a variety of fabrics, vinyls, and leathers Use traditional hand-tying, stapling, and modern upholstery techniques Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining quality standards Inspect finished items and rectify any faults Keep work area clean and follow health & safety procedures Work as part of a team on the production line

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as an Upholsterer in a factory or commercial environment Ability to complete all stages of upholstery independently and to a high standard Strong hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills are an advantage Good understanding of production workflows and targets Reliable, punctual and able to work at a consistent pace Physically fit - the role involves lifting and standing for long periods Own transport preferred due to factory location
