? Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
? Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
? Overtime available on mornings/weekends

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven Upholsterer to join a busy manufacturing team in Sheffield. This role requires advanced sewing ability, particularly for upholstery applications involving fabrics, faux leather, and genuine leather. You will be producing components for a variety of furniture items, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and consistency in your work.

Key Responsibilities

? Operate industrial walking-foot sewing machines to construct and sew upholstery pieces
? Work from templates or existing fabric patterns to create new or replacement covers
? Produce a variety of products including box piped cushions, recliner chairs, shaped arms, scatter cushions, and more
? Sew intricate details including piping, topstitching, and custom finishes
? Maintain high-quality standards in alignment with customer and production requirements
? Collaborate with the production team and communicate effectively with supervisors
? Keep your workspace tidy and follow safety and machine maintenance protocols

Requirements

? Minimum 8 years' experience in upholstery sewing is required
? Ability to work from templates and replicate shapes precisely
? Skilled in sewing both new and reupholstered pieces in various materials
? Proficient with industrial sewing machines including walking-foot types
? Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
? Experience with both fabric and leather upholstery
? A good communicator with a reliable, flexible approach to work
