Position: Upholsterer

Location: Long Eaton

Pay: 17.00-19.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

? Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

? Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Overview:

An industry-leading UK manufacturer is seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join its production team at a state-of-the-art facility in Long Eaton. The successful candidate will play a vital role in crafting high-quality upholstered products, working with fabrics, foams, and frames to meet exacting standards in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

? Cut, sew, and assemble fabrics, foams, and coverings onto furniture frames

? Perform traditional and modern upholstery techniques on a range of products

? Inspect materials for quality and ensure finished items meet design specifications

? Operate industrial sewing machines, staplers, and hand tools efficiently

? Repair and re-upholster existing pieces as required

? Collaborate with the production team to optimise workflows and output

? Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety standards

? Assist with pattern making, template use, and material preparation

Candidate Requirements:

? Proven experience as an Upholsterer in a manufacturing or factory setting

? Strong knowledge of upholstery materials, tools, and techniques

? Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and hand/power tools

? Ability to read technical drawings and follow patterns accurately

? Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

? Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift materials

? Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach

? English language proficiency required

? Bilingual candidates are highly desirable
