Overview

A growing furniture manufacturing business based in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join their production team. The company creates a wide range of bespoke furniture items, including sofas, chairs, chaise longues, and ottomans. This role involves working with a variety of fabrics and leathers to ensure all items are completed to a high standard and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Upholster a variety of furniture items according to job specifications and quality standards Handle different types of materials, including fabric and leather Collaborate with other upholsterers to meet production targets and deadlines Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment Ensure high-quality finishing on all products, including precision in detail work
Requirements

Proven experience in upholstery (minimum 2 years preferred) Familiarity with various fabric and leather types High attention to detail and craftsmanship Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Deep buttoning experience is an advantage (training can be provided)
