Salary:

From 18.00-19.00 per hour (depending on experience)

A leading manufacturer of furniture for the hospitality industry is urgently seeking an experienced Upholsterer to join their busy workshop team in Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to producing high-quality furniture for hotels, restaurants, and bars.

Main Mission

. To produce high-quality upholstered furniture for the hospitality industry, ensuring precision, attention to detail, and excellent craftsmanship from start to finish, while meeting production deadlines and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Upholster furniture pieces, including deep buttoning and fixed seating, to meet design specifications Complete all aspects of upholstery, from measuring and cutting materials to final assembly Work with a variety of materials, such as fabrics, leather, vinyl, and foams, to create or restore furniture Ensure all work is completed with a keen eye for detail and accuracy to maintain high-quality standards Handle materials safely, including some lifting as part of manual handling tasks Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations Collaborate with the upholstery team to meet production goals and client requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as an Upholsterer in a furniture manufacturing environment Strong all-round upholstery skills, including expertise in deep buttoning and fixed seating Ability to complete and upholster furniture from start to finish independently Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Manual handling knowledge and physical capability to perform lifting tasks Own transport is essential (workshop is not easily accessible by public transport)
