Job Summary

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Upholstery Cutter to join our team in a dynamic upholstery environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting materials with precision and ensuring that all specifications are met. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Knowledge of sewing processes will be advantageous but not essential. Although initially we are looking for someone for a temporary role, this could be extended to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Operate cutting machines and tools to cut materials according to specifications. Measure and mark materials for accurate cutting. Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Report any issues or discrepancies in materials or equipment to the supervisor. Willingness to be adaptive and ability to work on bespoke projects is essential

Qualifications

Must have previous experience as a Cutter within the upholstery industry. Familiarity with sewing processes is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required. Must be proficient with patten matching, working with leather and ability to work with minimum supervision
