Duties

Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Support with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary Drive clients to appointments or social activities using company or personal vehicle Manage behaviour effectively and implement behaviour management strategies when needed Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices Relevant qualifications such as first aid certification are advantageous Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support Valid driving licence preferred for transporting clients Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required A genuine interest in caregiving and supporting vulnerable individuals
