What does this team do?

This is your opportunity to join Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory - a team that blends consulting, finance, construction, digital and property skills to address the most complex challenges in real estate and infrastructure.


Our Valuations Assurance & Professional Advisory team is part of Strategy, Risk and Transaction-Advisory. From assessing the value of a property to understanding the economic viability of new developments, our team of valuation surveyors support with the smooth running of the UK's real estate market. We carry out valuations on assets and liabilities, organise their sale or rent and advise on investment, development and management. We use our understanding and expertise of the market to do this, ensuring we can offer clients the best possible advice interpreting the market and understanding the dynamics of issues relating to choice. We work across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial and rural properties, as well as plant machinery, businesses, arts and antiques, livestock, crops and intangible assets (e.g. music). We are a unique Valuation practice in the market, blending the core services and skills associated with the valuation profession with the strategic insight and perspectives of Deloitte.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

In our Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory teams, we look for people who are curious and eager to learn. We believe that those that are most successful are people who are not afraid to ask questions, loves problem solving and willing to get involved.



We would also like you to be studying towards a fully accredited RICS degree, with a predicted grade of 2.1 or higher, as we want to ensure you have a passion for Real Estate and Valuation. Your studies would need to be completed by Autumn 2026.

What kind of work will I do?

You will be part of our team advising on a wide range of projects for both our public and private sector clients, who occupy, invest in and lend to a vast array of real estate. Working here will give you the chance to develop your professional or industry expertise.


Key aspects will include:

Providing valuation assurance services across both Deloitte's internal network and direct to clients in the UK and overseas and all Real Estate sectors; Providing your expertise to Deloitte's Audit teams within the UK and across the Global Network for all Real Estate sectors; Providing opinions of value for Financial Statements, Strategic Asset Management and Purchase Price Allocation across all Real Estate sectors; Supporting both direct real estate and also broader M&A transactions through Real Estate Due Diligence; Identifying new trends and supporting the development of innovative valuation related solutions across the spectrum of Real Estate sectors; Learning and liaising with colleagues from different professional disciplines to deliver the most informed solutions for our clients; and Contributing to continued development of Deloitte's market profile.

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
