We are seeking a motivated and reliable

Van Driver to join our team in West Thurrock.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service while ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

At The Panel Delivery Company, we're a no-nonsense team delivering sheet materials (think plywood, chipboard, MDF and OSB) to customers across Greater London, Essex, Kent, and the South East. Most routes are well-planned 3-4 drop runs averaging 145 miles per day, starting and ending at our base in Grays, RM20.

The 3-day Induction and training will take place in Woodford Green, IG8 8HF.

We started in 2023, and we're growing fast, but we're keeping things simple: fair team, good people, clear expectations, and no clipboard-waving managers who've never touched a steering wheel. Just experienced staff who know the job and respect the driver. The atmosphere is friendly, fast-paced, and focused on getting the job done right.

What You'll Be Doing:

Driving a brand new, well-specced Ford Transit (your own assigned van-no swapping every day) Delivering loose sheet materials (2440 x 1220 & 3050 x 1220mm) to our customers Most loads are handballed off the van, and we always lend a hand Each run is smartly planned. You'll typically deliver 3-4 orders a day. That's it. No Inverness runs. No zigzagging across postcodes Helping out with loading/unloading when needed at the warehouse Providing great customer service and representing the company professionally.

What We Offer:

13.85 per hour, reviewed annually as part of the London Living Wage scheme Monday to Friday (flexible hours between 6:00am-4:00pm) - no weekends, no overnights, you'll be home for dinner Assigned van with A/C, Android Auto, 360 cameras, parking sensors Free uniform, coffee and tea on-site 28 days holiday including bank holidays

Training:

We do it properly here. Your training will last 3 structured days:

Day 1: Warehouse introduction and product overview Day 2: Ride-along with an experienced driver to learn best practices Day 3: Hands-on driving with guidance to ensure confidence on the road.
