Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable Van Driver / Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members. Minimum age for this position is 35 years old, due to insurance.

When successful candidate is not driving, general workshop labour is required - This includes keeping workshop clean and tidy.

Duties

Operate a van to transport goods to various locations, ensuring timely delivery. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods safely, utilising appropriate handling techniques. . Communicate effectively with management and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the factory as needed, mainly cleaning and tidying work areas.

Skills

Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Must be aged 35 years or older. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a shopfloor environment. Familiarity with flatbed driving is a plus, though not essential. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when handling deliveries.
