Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver and Warehouse person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as excellent communication skills to coordinate with warehouse staff and customers.

Responsibilities

Operate a van for the safe transportation of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the warehouse when not driving, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the van. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively. Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver, with a valid commercial driving licence preferred. Ability to operate flatbed vehicles is a plus. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing deliveries and paperwork.
