We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Duties

Safely operate a van for the transportation of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, routes, and any issues encountered. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, with knowledge of commercial driving regulations. Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including flatbed vans. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively. Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or maintenance on vehicles as necessary. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous, including familiarity with loading procedures and inventory management. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
