Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Van Driver / Warehouse Worker to join us. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in daily deliveries/collections and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping, and receiving as well as operating the forklift. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are offering

(Monday - Thursday 0600hrs - 1600hrs Friday 0700hrs - 1200hrs).

Duties

Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries. Manage stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse. Engage in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all items are processed correctly. Execute picking and packing duties to prepare orders for dispatch. Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery. Conduct heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Driving the company van

Skills

Strong experience in materials handling and warehouse operations. Proficient in operating forklifts; certification is preferred. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment. Ability to perform picking and packing tasks accurately and efficiently. Capable of heavy lifting and physical stamina to manage demanding tasks throughout the shift. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate stock records. Valid full UK driving licence Valid forklift certificate
